Monthly Support Group Meetings - SECOND TUES OF EACH MONTH (Sept - May) - These meetings are the heart of our group. They open with fellowship from 6:30-7:00, prayer, then announcements from leaders and volunteers, typically followed followed by a guest speaker presentation with questions and answers, finishing with an opportunity for homeschoolers to encourage one another and share ideas. Doors are locked by 9pm. Limited childcare is available on site.
Standardized Testing - KMC homeschoolers with a bachelors degree or state teachers certification administer the IOWA Basic standardized tests for grades 3 through 12 usually in May. (Stanford Achievement may be administered as well). Administration includes collecting test fees, ordering tests, arranging for a test location, proctoring tests, submitting answer sheets and booklets, receiving and distributing test results. See how well your children are learning.
